Morimoto Projector Lineup for HID & LED Retrofits
The M LED 2.0 pushes 73,000 candela on low beam and 83,000 on high, numbers that make picking the right projector platform a real decision rather than a formality. Some builds call for the familiar snap of a bi-xenon unit, others need the instant-on simplicity of a Bi-LED housing. Below you will find the current Morimoto projector platforms so you can match bulb type, lens size, and bolt pattern to the headlight you are actually opening up.
A tested comparison from the bench found the M LED 2.0's hotspot outperforms a D2S 5.0 running a CBI shield and 50w ballast, and lands roughly 10% brighter than its closest LED-based competitor. Its Kuria optic clear lens and koito-style beam shaper also throw a pattern wider than a D2S 5.0, with a sharp ECE-sloped cutoff. That said, the M LED 2.0 currently ship LHD only, so if your build is right-hand-drive you will want to confirm fitment before committing. Worth noting too: the Mini H1 platform's biggest install headache, bulb holder precision, got solved by Morimoto's MotoHolders and CNC-machined lock rings, which test roughly 300 percent stronger than the die-cast rings they replaced.
Once you have landed on a projector, the shroud is what finishes the look and seals the beam. Check Projector Shrouds to match one to the housing and projector you just picked.
