Finding the Right Morimoto Projector Retrofit Kit

The first time we opened up a headlight for a Mini H1 retrofit, the surprise wasn't the wiring. It was how much room that little projector actually ate up once the shroud and bulb holder were in place. Universal kits give you the parts to do the job right, but you still have to match the projector to the housing you're cutting into. That's the whole game here.

Bottom line, a 2.5 inch lens like the Mini H1 fits tighter housings and still throws a clean, controlled beam, while a 3 inch lens trades some housing room for more usable light. From there it's a matter of picking shrouds that fit the lens and a bulb color that matches the look you are going for.
