LED Side Markers
LED Side Marker Lights Built For Your Exact Vehicle
Stock side markers fog, crack, or trap condensation inside the housing long before the rest of the truck shows its age. Morimoto's XB LED side marker assemblies swap that factory plastic for a UV-coated polycarbonate lens running Osram LEDs, so the smoked look holds up and the amber or red output stays strong instead of fading to a dull glow. Every assembly here is vehicle specific, meant to plug straight into your factory connector rather than get spliced into existing wiring, and carries a 2-year warranty.
What we have learned fitting these
On applications like the 14-18 GMC Sierra, the marker housing itself is amber-colored polycarbonate with amber LEDs behind it, not a clear lens as some early photos implied. That is the point of the smoked design: off, the housing reads dark and uniform with the rest of the body; powered on, dually rear markers light red and front markers light amber, matching factory color output but with noticeably more intensity. One fitment note from the field: the 09-18 Ram dually set is meant to stay simple, fronts amber only and rears red only, never sequential. If a set behaves sequentially, that is a known batch defect and gets replaced, not a feature. Plan your order around what the housing will look like parked, not just what it looks like lit.
This install walks through a Jeep JL/JT fitment start to finish, including the fender liner work and the 3M tape step most people underestimate. The JL set also taps into the factory turn signal wire, so budget time for the t-tap. If you are finishing out the front end at the same time, our XB LED Headlights are built to match the same OEM-plus approach.
