LED Load Resistors for Hyperflash and CANbus Fixes
You finally swapped in LED bulbs and now your blinker is flashing twice as fast, or your dash keeps throwing a bulb-out warning you can't clear. That's not a defective bulb and it's not a bad ground. It's a load problem: LEDs simply draw far less current than the halogen bulbs your factory wiring was engineered around, and a load resistor puts that missing load back exactly where the fast-blink or error code starts.
A Real Fitment Note, Not a Guess
On a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro B6 running Morimoto XB LED fog lights (LF642), the H220 CANbus harness alone did not clear the bulb-out error. It took a hard-ground load resistor (50W preferred, the 40W Morimoto H275.2 also worked) to satisfy the strict VAG BCM check. Here is the catch: the H220 is capacitor-based and raises apparent load through circuitry, while a resistor actually dissipates current as heat the way a halogen filament would, and on this platform only the resistor got the job done. Worth noting, that fog circuit runs an H11 connector, so a 9006-only resistor harness is the wrong connector family entirely. Another route on this car is recoding to LED fog with Carly or OBDeleven so the BCM stops expecting a halogen bulb. Confirm the actual fix for your circuit before you order, not just whatever happens to plug in.

Hyperflash and bulb-out warnings usually trace back to a blinker or brake circuit, not the headlight itself. If that's where your fault lives, start with LED: Signal & Brake bulbs built around the per-circuit loads these systems expect.
Match the resistor's wattage, resistance, and connector to your actual circuit, not just the symptom, and the fix holds.
