Morimoto 3rd Brake Light: The X3B Lineup for Trucks
A lot of truck owners assume a third brake light is just a bulb problem, swap in a brighter T15 and call it done. It is not. The factory housing itself is the limiting factor, which is why Morimoto built the X3B from the ground up as a brake and bed light assembly rather than another bulb kit. That said, fitment is specific by cab, year, and camera configuration, so getting the right part number matters more here than with most lighting upgrades.
Fitment detail worth knowing: on 2015 and newer F-150 and Super Duty trucks with a factory bed-view camera built into the third brake light, the X3B is offered in a camera and a non-camera version. Your original OEM camera unplugs from the stock housing and plugs directly into the Morimoto assembly, no splicing, no separate camera relocation kit.
