LED Fog Light Bulbs Built to Fit Your Housing
A lot of people assume any LED bulb will drop into any housing, or that a bigger lumen number wins by default. That's backwards. LED bulbs are sized to the housing's socket, not your truck's trim level, which means the first decision here is fitment, then light quality.
Once the base size is confirmed, the 2Stroke 4.0 lineup is built to do the rest of the work for you.
Morimoto built the 2Stroke 4.0 around a 1.45mm surface-emission interval, tighter than the 1.4mm tungsten filament in a halogen bulb and a step ahead of the outgoing 2Stroke 3.0's 2.0mm emitter. That precision comes from an Aluminum Nitride Ceramic circuit board at the center of the bulb, and it's what lets the 4.0 recreate your factory beam pattern instead of scattering light while running its Osram Oslon Black Flat S 5500K chip at 2,600 lumens. In most fog light applications a PWM or anti-flicker module is unlikely to be needed, something that is often required when the same style of bulb gets pushed into a DRL or low-beam role instead. Note that LED bulbs are street legal in the USA for fog light use only, not for halogen headlights.
