LED Headlights: Pick the Right Lineup for Your Ride

Your factory halogen bucket is not going to get brighter with age, and a generic universal swap will not fix a dim, yellowed lens either. The right LED headlight depends on what you drive and how far you want to push the upgrade, from a bolt-on projector housing to a full XB Evo lineup with selectable DRL colors. Start with your vehicle and work outward from there.

The XB Evo platform runs Type 1 bi-LED projectors and recycles heat generated by the LEDs to warm the lens itself, a detail we built in after watching lesser designs fog and dim in cold weather. That heating system does not exist on the entry-level XB Hybrid lineup, which shares the same Bi-LED projectors and beam pattern but drops the lens heater, mode selector keys, and welcome sequence to hit a lower price point. Which line makes sense for you depends on whether you want the full feature set or just the core optical performance.

Shop by Headlight Type

XB Evo Headlights

The current flagship line: Type 1 bi-LED projectors, an integrated lens heater, selectable white or amber DRL keys, sequential or fade-off turn signals, and a welcome light sequence, for enthusiasts who want the full plug-and-play feature set.

XB LED Headlights

Vehicle-specific bi-LED and multi-projector housings, like the Tahoe's triple Bi-LED setup with Osram 5000K DRLs and a sequential turn signal, DOT compliant and built to bolt into factory mounts without any wiring surgery.

Universal Sealed Beams

Round and rectangular sealed beam replacements for older trucks, Jeeps, and classics that never had a vehicle-specific harness to begin with.

XB Headlight & Tail Light Combos

Matched headlight and tail light sets pulled from the XB Evo, XB LED, and Universal Sealed Beam lineups above, for shoppers redoing the whole back-to-front lighting look in one order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between XB Evo and XB LED Headlights?

XB Evo housings use two Type 1 bi-LED projectors with an integrated lens heater, selectable white or amber DRL keys, sequential or fade-off turn signals, and a welcome light sequence. XB LED Headlights are vehicle-specific bi-LED or multi-projector housings built for direct factory-mount fitment, without the full feature set found on XB Evo.

What is the difference between XB Evo and the XB Hybrid lineup?

Both lines share the same Bi-LED projectors and beam pattern, but the XB Hybrid lineup drops the lens heater, mode selector keys, and welcome sequence found on XB Evo to hit a lower price point.

Will Universal Sealed Beams fit my older vehicle without a factory harness?

Yes. Universal Sealed Beams are round and rectangular replacements built for older trucks, Jeeps, and classics that never had a vehicle-specific harness, so they do not require the plug-and-play wiring used on vehicle-specific XB LED Headlights.

Are these headlights plug-and-play, or do they require wiring modifications?

Vehicle-specific XB LED Headlights and XB Evo housings are built to bolt into factory mounts without any wiring surgery, as shown in the installation videos for the Ram, Corvette C6, Porsche 993, and Ford Super Duty above.
